@URLOpen command

Hi,

Think I am going wrong somewhere,

I am trying to open a another database in a new window using the @URLOpen command, its opeing it in the same window, how do i specify the target and the size of the window?

I have tried the help :

@URLOpen(“http:\www.ibm.com” target=" ")

But this generates an error and doesn’t compile.

Thanks for any help

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply, unfortunately, neither worked.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Here is what lotus help says:

When a Notes browser triggers the @URLOpen function, it displays the retrieved Web page in a new window. To program an @URLOpen function used on a form or page that will only be accessed by a non-Notes browser to display the retrieved Web page in a new window, create an Action Hotspot and append target=" " to the URL string in its Click event. For example, @URLOpen(“http:\www.ibm.com” target=" "). Be sure to leave a space between the quotation marks that follow target=.

Thanks for your reply, the suggestion in Designer Help didn’t work for me (frustrating) - but I have managed to get it to work another way :

Action Hotspot with @URLOpen command (same as before)

in the HTML properties for the Action Hotspot, in the Other field enter :

Target = “_Blank”

It works!!

Thanks for your suggestions.

There is also an alternative way.

In the hotspot click event, use the following formula:

@SetTargetFrame(“_blank”);

@URLOpen(“http://www.ibm.com”)
