URGENT - Time Problems

We are currently having big problems with time zone settings.

We have R5 Mail Servers, R6 Client and a R4.6 Mail Template.

Both the servers and the Clients are set to not observe BST but on the Clients which have been upgraded to R6 I have noticed that the time stamp keeps changing +1 hour either when you close\re-open notes or by its self.

I have checked the settings in the Notes.ini

TimeZone=0

DST=0

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There are three sets of settings that must match up – real-life time in your region, the time in your operating system, and the time in Notes/Domino. You say that you are trying to run with no daylight saving time. I wonder if you are really in a region that does not use DST. If you use DST in real life, then you will certainly have problems if you try to turn it off in Notes/Domino.There is a tool here that you can use to check Notes and Domino settings.

If you still have problems, it would help to see an actual example of what happens. Post again specifying the real-life time, operating system time and Notes/Domino time that you see, and post immediately so that the time stamp of the forum’s server can be a further check.

check to see that “Yes” is selected for the field “Use operating system’s time zone settings” in the Advanced - Basics tab of your Location document.

When we use the OS timezone it moves the time forward 1 hour.

We have just started the migration so we currently have users on both R4 and R6 Clients. The problem is happening to users irrespective of if their Personal Address Book is R4 or R6 template

LisaWe used to have loads of problems when time changed in the end we had to amende server notes.ini files.

Ours is currently set to

DSTlaw=3,-1,1,10,-1,1

Might be worth doing some research on it before you make changes.
