Urgent--Need To send calendar invitation/entry Programatically

Hi All,I need to send an calendar invitation .This as to be done Programatically. Can Any one tell me is there any other idea how to send calendar invitation programatically?

I have done like this:

I have a form A. I will be entering some values in this Form. When i click save the details from the form A will be moved to the _Calendar form and the invitation mail will be sent to the reciepients.

I have written the code in Query Save of the form A.

the code goes like this.

Call doc1.ReplaceItemValue(“Form”,“Calendar”)

Call doc1.ReplaceItemValue(“AppointmentType”,“3”)

Call doc1.ReplaceItemValue(“Subject”,uidoc.FieldGetText(“Description”))

Call doc1.ReplaceItemValue(“StartDate”,Cdat(uidoc.FieldGetText(“DueDate”)))

Call doc1.ReplaceItemValue(“StartTime”,Cdat(“12:00:00 PM”))

Call doc1.ComputeWithForm (True,False)

Call doc1.Save(True,True)

Call doc1.Send(False,assigned name…)

Is i am Correct?

I am getting the mail.

but when i try to open the invittaion it prompts me the error.

“Error trying to Open Document: Note Item not found”

and if i give ok, prompts me another error saying some field has incorrect data type. But there is no field like that.

Even I gave that field and gave some date time value.But its not working.

I have copied the Calendar Invitation form from the Notes mail db.

Do i need to do any more thing?

Pls Help Me out to Slove this Problem.

Subject: Oh for a Calendar Class in Lotus Script

A few years ago I spent a lot of time trying to integrate calendar entries into another system and needed to create Calendar entries from a program. I spent a lot of time working on this and finally gave up. There may be some Third party tools available from some Business Partners, but I know it is not a simple solution. There is a real need for a Calendar Class in LS which would open up a whole new area for development and integration.We got reasonably close, but could not close the loop.

Hi Sam

It’s looking for a field on the form that is currently missing. have you run debugger to work out where it fails? You say that it’s setting a field value with an incorrect value- this could be a temp field, if the ‘named’ field is not contained within the document properties.

You more than likely have some additional fields on the form that would usually be set when used with the mail client. You may be best to strip out what you don’t need.

Out of interest, why are you resorting to copying the calendar to recreate again? Is it outside the mail client - in another app?

Yes I am using this in another application.

I need to send an meeting calendar invitation from my application.

I have a form which have some fields .I need to fill the form and when I click the Save button the filled information from this form should be replaced with the Appointment form(_Calendar Form) and I need to get the Mail(Invitation Mail). And Asusual they can open the invitation, accept it, decline it, etc…as we do normally.

As you said Kendy , the field is a hidden field and it has some default value to… so as i am using Compute with forms I hope i dont need to do anymore things…It should open the form Appointment and do all the necessary things right??

I am a beginner of Lotus Notes Kendy. So I may be wrong in my assumption. Pls correct me If I am wrong.

And One more thing, is it not a problem when i delete some fields from the Appointment form.?
