URGENT ! Mail header problem

Hi there,

Some of our users have reported that message headers show e-mail address that do not correspond with the name of the recipient. In one case a reply all message did not go to one of the persons who was in the cc list of the original message …

As an example the addresses in the header show:

userAFirstName Last Name userC@domain.com, userBFirstname LastName userA@domain.com,

userCFistName LastName userB@domain.com

Some of the names also show three quotes… for example: ‘’‘John Doe’‘’ userX_shortname@domain.com

In another instance, some of them even point to external domains (eg: internaluserFirstName Lastname externaluser@externaldomain.com

Another issue is when I was trying to view header of some of my own mail messages: I open it > select View > Show > can’t select Page source as it is greyed out.

Hope I am making some sense here … Anyone got any ideas …? this may become critical so any help would be appreciated. We have a pair of clustered Domino mail servers that relay external mail thru a Unix box that also acts as spam filter.

Thanks

Ayaz

Subject: URGENT ! Mail header problem

Hi,

The problem is the “envelope”. EnvelopeTo is different than SendTo. Try to search here; has been discussed many times.

Regarding the gray page source. You can only view the page source on smtp mails. - when you address mails to your self you use nrpc.
