I say “Urgent”, because this just happened at the end of the day today, so most of the local users are not yet aware of the problem. So, I need to figure this out tonight.
I had the server setup with a replication formula to only replicate docs with a form matching 1 of about 20 different names. This was done in Jan. It seemed to work fine.
A couple days ago, a local user updated about 10 docs and replicated. Today, we notice that not only are these changed docs NOT on the server, but the original ones are GONE. This local user still has them on her pc, but they will not replicate.
While investigating, I found that the server replication formula was no longer set to use a formula, but rather a subset of views/folders. (why, i don’t know) So, I simply set it back to the formula, and had her try replicating again. No luck.
I then had her clear her replication history. No luck.
I then cleared the server replication history. No luck.
Growing ever more frustrated, I cleared the replication formula altogether - so we’re back to a wide open replication setup. She replicated again, but the changed docs did not replicate. - and, even though the original docs are now gone from the server, when I replicate, my local copies of these docs remain.
I then created a new doc on my local copy; replicated - and - nothing. It is not on the server. ???
I then cleared my replication history and tried it again. Nothing.
So, here I sit. No restrictions on the server replication formula. I’m a Manager with full rights (including replicate/copy documents) and I can no longer replicate docs to the server.
Sorry so much detail - but NOW WHAT DO I DO???
