Is it possible to:
Create an agent that will make the alias on the Domino server the primary Internet Address? The address is already in the person document. I just need to switch them.
I need to delete the Internet Mail Address on the location document of the local client. I may need a button for them to be clicked on but the point is to have the entry from the server to populate this field.
I need this like before Saturday. I have a list of names that needs to be modified if that helps.
you don’t need any code for this. Use the Domino Admin client’s Internet Address Tol to set the internet address in the person doc. When the user authenticates with their home mail server following the change, their location docs will update with the new internet address automatically. This is called Dynamic Configuration.
Dynamic Client Configuration runs when the user authenticates with their home server, and either their Person document has been modified, or their assigned Desktop Policy has been modified since the last authentication. DCC is designed as a push mechanism only from the server to the client. The DCC updates settings on the user’s workstation based on the current settings in the user’s Person document and any Desktop Policies that are in place. For example, if changes are made to a user’s Person document, DCC will detect the changes when the user connects to the server, and then push the appropriate changes down to the client.
