Urgent DECS question

I have used DECS before and have had little or no trouble creating the necssary connections but i am having an issue that i can’t resolve.

When trying to create an activity document i can’t open up any dbs on my server. Despite all the posts in this forum nothing has worked. SO in desperation i made the DB fields editable and was able to connect to the DB i wanted.

Now when i try to click the mapping button to display the notes/db2 fields it says the server is not a known tcpip host. checked the hosts table on the AS/400. checked the server doucment… FQDN and notes network port seetings. Both are the same. Server is listed explicitly in the access server field. I can ping the server…open the server…what the heck am i missing here?

To solve problem with “server is not a known tcpip host” you can add server’s name with it’s IP address to your hosts file in Windows on DECS server. Try also to ping servers (both DB2 and Domino) directly from DECS computer and not from your local workstation. Open Notes client on DECS server and try to add activity doc from there.
