Urgent: Database lastmodified date by user

Hi,Is there any way to fetch the database last modified date by user. This is to be done through code.

By default db.lastmofied returns the lastmodied date. Even if the server accesses the database, the lastmodied date will be changed accordingly. My requirement is to fetch the last modified date only if there is an user activity.

Thanks,

they have an answer and opportunity. Saying a question is “urgent” or “Immportant” is a quick way to get ignored, it may be urgent to you but not necessarily to everyone else.

LastModified tells you when but not who, but since you are looking at a point in time even if you knew who you would not know much. If you are trying to track user access you could hang some code on the DataBase QueryOpen, but this would not tell you if they did anything but open the DB. If you want to know if the did something then you would need to add some code to the Form QuerySave. But remember this all adds processing time and in a busy DB this could be significant.

Enable ACTIVITY Logging on the server.

This will give you results at the DB level as well.

Caution : ADDS mem utilization

That is correct, my answer was just to address the LastModified DB property. Adding some of these server logging actions are OK for short term, but can be a back breaked on server performance.
