Urgent: COM1: Error opening modem command file

About one week ago we upgraded to Domino 6.0.1 from 5.x. Since the upgrade I cannot get the Domino server to recognize my US Robotics 56K external modem. Everytime I try to start the port (command start port com1) I get the the following error:COM1: Error opening modem command file ???.mdm

I have tried several different .mdm files and I have even replaced the ones on the server.

Does anyone have and idea why it won’t recognize my modem?

Subject: Solution- COM1: Error opening modem command file

We found a solution. For some reason Domino could not find the *.mdm files in the default path. Once we moved the *.mdm file to the C:\Lotus\Domino directory it found the *.mdm file and the modem started working.

Is there a setting to change the path where it looks for the *.mdm files?
