We have a domino server v. 7.0.2 on a windows 2003 server - VMWare.
I was upgrading the server recently, but it was no success. After the upgrade, the server stopped during startup. It stopped at
Assingning new DBIID to … dolres.ntf
I tried to take the file out of the Data-directory, but the problem now appeared on Assigning new DBIID to… ddm.ntf (or perhaps ddm.nsf, not sure anymore)
I ended up with rolling back the VMWare snapshot, and no upgrade…
Any ideas how I can fix this? I ran fixup on these files after I was back on the “old” server, and the consistency check finished after a second. (fixup -f -j -v)
Right before the upgrade, I disabled user access to the server by using “set conf server_restricted=2” console command, and I ran some nfixup on the systemdatabases after I shut down the server (before I did the upgrade) That’s it.
