Upgrading mail template using policy

I changed these settings on the desktop setting-document of the policy: old design= *

if running this version of notes= *

use this template= mail6.ntf

Unfortunately, nothing happens to the mail file. I know the policy is being applied, because it changes the texture of the user’s workspace when I want it to (tried it several times).

Any tips??

Subject: upgrading mail template using policy

The policy needs to be in place when the client starts after it has been upgraded I think for it to signal to the server to upgrade the mail template.

You might try editing and saving the policy so it appears new to the client at next authentication.

I set the policy and left it there for a couple of days to see if something would happen… nothing. When I change the workspace texture-seeting, it gets applied the next time I restart the client. The template does not change.

Any ideas??

Try to change the Clients notes.ini file with theese settings:setup=62

mailsetup=62

MailUpgradeFolder=62 (not 100% sure about this)

This will trig a setup of the notes client.

It is our experience that the mailsetup entry, starts the seamless upgrade procedure.
