in our organization we are using Domino 8.0.1 on windows server 2003.now we want to upgrade to 9.0.1 on a new box with WS 2012 .
Is 9.0.1 backwards compatible with 8.0.1? How can i port all the live databases to domino 9.0.1?
I want to keep all the ACL ,Users,Server settings as in 8.01.
please tell me the things to keep in mind, detailed steps to to follow to migrate already running web application on upgraded version.

All native Domino databases (designed by IBM) are compatible from 8.0.1 to 9.0.1.
Regarding your applications developed internally and/or by a third company, you should validate it before migrate/upgrade.
