Hello forum,
we want to upgrade a 32bit Domino Server to a 64 bit version. The Domino is installed on win 2003 64bit and was first installed as 7.02/32bit, then upgraded to 8.0. A few months ago, i tryed to upgrade to 8.0.1 64bit, but this craches with the message, that “one or more IBM licence agreements files were not created”. This was a known bug and IBM wrote in a helpdesk, that i must reinstall the server to solve the problem. But this did not work! Only the message, that a 32bit version was found in this machin and i must uninstall this first…
Today, i tryed the 8.0.2 64bit and the same problem appears! I only could install the 8.0.2 32 bit. I also tryed to uninstall this version and install the 64bit after that. But the same messages appears. Here my steps:
-
8.0 was installed
-
uninstalling 8.0
-
8.0.2 32bit installation
-
8.0.2 32bit uninstallation
-
8.0.2 64bit installation → Now the following message appears in the last install-Windwow:
The installation is complete, please read the following warning:
“On or more IBM licence files were not created properly beause the correct JRE was not used. You may view the IBM license agreement that applies to this product… this error will not harm the functionality of this product”
-
OK, start the server. In the black window only an error message appears that “some licence files are not correct (OK)” Then the window was closed…

Reinstall the 8.0.2 64bit over the existing crashed installation: Now the installer found an installed 32bit version (!?!) and i should uninstall this first. After that the installer ends automatically.
What should i do to install the 64bit version? Can anybody help? What JRE do i (it) need? Why doesn’t it install automatically?
Pleas, IBM, help! We bought the 64bit Server only because Domino 8 is native 64bit.
Thanks for any Help! Bernd
