I am trying to upgrade a user to Roaming.
I go through all the steps to do this; no problems.
Once it’s submitted to the admin process it creates the roaming folder but does not create the database stubs, also it doesn’t update the “user can roam” field in names.nsf
I can’t find any errors in the logs, and from what I can tell the stuff in admin4.nsf looks ok. Is there some other place that an error might show up? I’ve done this before without problems, but I think this is the first time since I’ve upgraded to 8.0.1
Is this a problem with 8.0.1, or am I just missing something?
Subject: Roaming feature won’t work in 8.0.x
Please refer to the Technote linked below. If you are using R6/7 clients or R8 Basic, please provide the last completed and any pending Administration Process requests for this user. Roaming support will be available for the Eclipse client beginning with 8.5.

Subject: The problem was not with the client!
Roaming DOES work with 8.0.1 just not with the standard client*. Anyway I figured it out, apparently I did not have an administration server set for names.nsf. Once I set that and did a ‘tell adminp process all’ it worked like I expected it to.
*Roaming may not be officialy supported on the 8.0.1 standard client, but as far as I can tell it does in fact mostly work.
Subject: the issue …
with the standard client is the notes stuff does roam but the standard stuff does not (the sidebar, toolbar, preferences, etc).
