Upgrade R7 or get PCLP

Hi all

I have recently completed by R6 CLP .I am not whether I need to prepare for the R7 upgrade exam or to prepare for any one of the elective exam to become PCLP (To become a PCLP is any certain number of experience is required.

Could anyone provide me a better suggestion

I think the first question for yourself should be:What is your goal with being certified?

Having the certification for Domino 7 tells (near) future employers that you’re keeping track of the developments in the Domino world. Doing a PCLP could be a sign for your present employer that you’re ready for more advanced AD work.

Even the basic SA exam might be an option. Developers who know a bit more about SA are usually better developers.

SA = System Administration, which is the other Domino certification track. The first SA exam (don’t know the title by heart) would get you the IBM Associate Lotus Certified System Administration certificate.

There is no way you have completed the CLP, because the certification name does not exist anymore:-)

But seriously, have you looked at the certification page at all? I would recommend doing the advanced elective for ND6 (there is no R6 either, never was), and then do the upgrade exam for ND7. That way you are covered all around.
