I was trying to upgrade our server from 6.5.1 to 6.5.3, however the upgrade errors out at the beginning on jsdll as the file already there. Surely we do not need to uninstall 6.5.1 to upgrade?

dont know if this will help you but a few comments:
- No it is not necessary to uninstall the current version (in general). However if you get an error then why not try it ? :-)).
(! Always do a backup of your current working version, so you can easily pull back if you get problems.)

Are you using an “Incremental”-installer or a full install of “6.5.3” ? (If you use an incrmental can you can a full version from “Passport-Advantage”)

- Why do you upgrade ? Do you have any problems with your current version ? In general it is really a good idea ONLY to upgrade if you can gain something of it (for ex. your current install runs instable)
