Hello all,
I carried out an upgrade from domino 7.0.2 to domino 8.0.2 by following the procedures in the redpaper ‘Redp4120’. I first installed the domino 8 administrator client and then i proceeded to upgrade the domino directory.
However, when I do Application → Properties for the new domino directory, it still says, ‘Template 7.0.2’.
Is that normal or I have missed something. I haven’t completed the upgrade yet. I have stopped there.

Thank you all for your response. In fact the template I was looking for was in the domino server upgrade. I should have upgraded the server first and then upgraded the directory design.

I’m no upgrade expert, but shouldn’t there be some step to upgrade your databse to the latest template? Maybe you need to do it manually by opening the database in the Notes client and doing File–>Application–>Replace Design ??

Changing the design can be done by right clicking on that particular database and > Application > Replace desingNow select the template server to the desired server (should be your current server or the relevent ip)
Then click Replace, and that will take some time to fnish.
After you are done close the notes and open it back.
You should be good now.
