Upgrade From 6.5.6 to 8.5.0 on iSeries

Hello my friends.

I am upgrading my environment from 6.5.6 to 8.5.1 on iSeries V5r4.

I did the installation using the setup. The libraries were installed and the convertion was done.

So, when I start the server using wrkdomsvr or strdomsrv it still loading the 6.5.6 version.

I had ckecked the version using the wrklib command and the QDOMINO850 lib was corrected created.

I think the console needed to show me the ask about to upgrade the templates like unix, linux and windows versions, right ?

What do I need to do ?

I am not iSeries specialist and it is my first installation on this environment. Am I doing something wrong or missing something ?

Subject: Use i5/OS Cmd Upddomsvr

It sounds like during the setup-process (via setup.exe) that you did not elect to upgrade any Servers. With the Server *ENDED, execute the following i5/OS command to upgrade the Server to the latest version of Lotus Domino installed (assuming its 8.5.1):

UPDDOMSVR SERVER(serverName) TORLS(‘8.5.1’)

You’ll get the prompt to upgrade the Domino Directory when you start the Server after that command completes execution via:

WRKDOMCSL SERVER(serverName)
