A user gets an error stating “You are attempting to upgrade to a Multi-user installation. Please obtain the correct installation package to complete the upgrade.” when trying to install the designer client over his notes client. Any ideas?

When the Notes client was first installed, the user must have selected Multi-User install rather than single user install.
Probably need to either re-install Notes client over the old installation or un-install the old client first and then install as single user setup.
