Whenever I try to run the update option in DCT I get connection timed out. I have even tried to go directly to the update web site and all I see is a blank page.
Subject: Same issue on “Check for Updates”
Oops!Lotus Notes was unable to check the IBM website for updates.
Please attempt to access this web site with an internet browser: Download DCT Now!
The “Download DCT Now” link works and I am able to download the dct.ntf but the release date on the Technote is 01/06/2009 so I am wondering if the template I download has the most current set of rules.
Subject: Updates & URL
Apologies for the difficulties when attempting updates. Is this the URL you’re following for download?http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019358&rs=0&cs=utf-8&context=SWA00&dcÔ00&q1=dct
I’ll have the “Release Date” updated to 6/22009 - if you download from that link, you’ll find the database title is “Domino Configuration Tuner (2009.06.02)”, where the date is in YYYY/MM/DD format.
Please let me know if that helps.
Kind regards,
-scott
Subject: URL indicated with the error
Using the “Check for Updates” button the Unable to download error refers to the URL
http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/lotus/notesanddomino/tools/dct/verstion.xml
Connection refused.
I am behind the company firewall but it does not prompt for username and password.
Anyway, it appears I do have the most current template so I am good to go.
Thanks.
Subject: looks like a bug (misspelling) in the ‘test’ URL, I’ll fix it for the next update
Here’s what it should be:
http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/lotus/notesanddomino/tools/dct/version.xml

Subject: Sorry my typo
The error screen doesn’t let you copy the text so I was typing it in, should have checked more thoroughly before posting.
Here is what it has:
http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/lotus/notesanddomino/tools/dct/version.xml
I suspect the issue is firewall related but since I can download the current template from the technote I’m not to concerned about the error.
Thanks for your time in responding.
