If I do not have R5 and ND6 running at the same time, I do not seem to be getting the errors associated with Design Changes in ND6 not saving. I realize of course that IBM does not support dual installations, but more developers do this than do not.
R5 and ND6 have different installation/data directories and their own .ini files. What I have noticed in the past is that I must start R5 before starting ND6 or else I cannot open R5.
I will post again after more success (or a reversion to failure).

I have Notes 4, 5 client & 5 designer, & 5Domino server & 6 client & 6 designner,6 domino server all on the same notebook (and IE5 & IE6 too)
I cheat, I use a product called VMware that allows the starting and stopping of virtual machines each with their own installations. Stops all of those “unknown” issues.
