Update date fields

Hi All,

I need you assistance. I have four date fields that I need to update with the same date which is 01/01/2006 in a view called startview. The fields are:

Startdate, Startposition,Startapproval and starttax

Can any one assist how I could complete this task?

Create a manual agent ---------------------------------------------------------

field Startdate:=@texttotime(“01/01/2006”);

Startdate;

field Startposition:=@texttotime(“01/01/2006”);

Startposition;

field Startapproval:=@texttotime(“01/01/2006”);

Startapproval;

field starttax:=@texttotime(“01/01/2006”);

starttax;

select @all;

select the documents which you want to update the date fields, and execute agent.

Except, put the select statement first (it won’t make any difference in this case, but…). And, write dates using bracket notation, e.g. [1/1/2006] not @Texttotime(“01/01/2006”) so that the agent will not be affected by the date formatting settings of the workstation that runs it. And, statements such as Startdate; have no effect, so they just make the agent run slower with no benefit.
