Unusual use of Resource Scheduler

We are just beginning to use the Resource Scheduler for conference room scheduling. This has been fairly painless to implement. However, we have an “opportunity” to use the Scheduling database for out telecommunications people to schedule Conference calls through a number of ports.

Basically, they have about 132 ports available for conference calls. They get a request that a conference call needs to be scheduled and they need 10 ports (or however many connections will be made to the call). Is there an easy way to set this up in Resource Scheduling? I have not been able to determine the best way to do this. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

This would really require customization of the exist database or a home built one (the latter which I have done recently as I was not allowed to have the resources (in your case ports) show up in the Domino Directory, and as such, could not utilize BusyTime.

The end result was a pretty cool app with home grown busytime simulation.
