I’m getting an error message “unread log is corrupt” when trying to send email.

I looked thru the references but couldn’t find anything that worked.I tried running fixup and renewed the design from the server but that doesn’t change anything.
The same error occurs when I try to create a calendar entry.
Despite the error the mail gets send and the calendar entries do get created.
Any other suggestions?
