How can I fix the incorrect inbox mail count total, it displays that I have one more unread than I actually do?

Open your inbox and go to edit .… Unread Marks .…Mark All Read.

Marking all read could work but I think it will not solve the real cause of the problem.
We had this problem on a mailbox and found out that unread marks was RIGHT ! Actually, there were documents within current folder that use was not allowed to read (readers fields). These were automatically send documents (db through an agent) that contained a readers field with a userrole that mailbox’s owner had in the source database but NOT in his mailbox. The solution we found was to add this same userrole name in his mailbox’s ACL + assign it to user and manually delete these mails.
