Unexplained archviving behaviour

Hi, can someone explain why this archiving situation has arisen under test.

Estate is all 6.5.5. Policy based Admin is not used at all.

Client has 20Mb mail file, with all docs from 2001.

  1. Created a folder called archive

  2. Moved 23 documnets into the archive folder

  3. Configured server to server archiving at the client. Basing the selection on docs older than 365 days and only stored in the archive folder.

  4. Ran the command: Load Compact -A mail\file.nsf for the test user.

  5. 23 documents archived - 21 deleted (as expected due to treatment of threads).

  6. Added the remaining 4 thread documents (to create to threads of 3 documents each)

  7. Ran the load compact again and all archived exactly as expected.

  8. Created a subfolder called archive1.1

  9. Dragged 5 docs from inbox to archive and 5 documents to archive\archive1.1

  10. Altered the archive settings to include also the archive1.1 subfolder

  11. Ran the Load Compact again.

  12. All 10 documents in the two folders got archived to the corresponding folders in the archive DB.

  13. A FURTHER THREE DOCUMENTS GOT ARCHIVED TO THE INBOX OF THE ARCHIVE - WHY???

Any help would be great

Thanks

Mike

are you sure there are no other archive criteria enabled besides the one created ? sometimes there is a default criteria that can kick in …

Thanks Ayaz, but I am absolutely positive that I deleted any all all existing criteria before starting this testing cycle.
