Hi,
I inadvertently archived documents not modify in last 365 days. I’m want to archive by year, which I have done. Is there a way to move the first set of archived documents back into the users mail file?
Thanks,
Mike

Subject: Undo an archive??
I sent an e-mail to you, but will post here also.
The only way to move something out of an archive:
Open the archive
Select the item
Click>Edit>Cut (or copy)
Go to your inbox
Select the folder you want the message in
Click>Edit>Paste

Thanks Andy,
That’s what I was thinking. I was hoping there was a way to preserve the folders.
Thanks again for the response.

If you need to move back 1000’s of messages for single or multiple users you might want to try the tool below. I actually used it myself during a message migration to retract all local and server archives back to user server mailboxes. It worked quite nicely and even supports archives located on external USB drives.
Archive Mailbox Reverter for IBM Notes

• Copy server and local archived mail items to server mailbox
• Consolidate multiple archives to server mailbox

Yeah, I noticed that last week - for several posts. Also, either I was hallucinating last week or at least one of those posts was originally made under different user name. The name on that post now is the same as the name on this one - or it’s been deleted and re-posted. The name on it now does not come up at all for me in a search. The name that I saw last week did come up in a search, and it was associated with the company whose product it was endorsing.
The thing is, I don’t think anybody really minds promoting useful products here - so long as you are up front about it. Trying to disguise it as an endorsement (i.e., saying “I actually used it myself”) is not cool.
