Subject: Summary of my research and latest use
Thanks to past posters who have provided the following solutions (nothing here is my original thought).
Embedded view/show single category view will always show all categories (below the category used to select which documents to display) as expanded when opened, regardless of the view settings. I found no way to “collapse all” upon open using any command or view event. Just have to live with this fact.
I have added this code to the view PostOpen event, if nothing else, but to make sure that the view shows the user the latest docs:
Sub Postopen(Source As Notesuiview)
Dim ws As New NotesUIWorkspace
Call ws.ViewRefresh
End Sub
I have these action buttons defined in the view (NOT in the containing Page or Form in your case):
Refresh View
@SetTargetFrame( “NotesView” );
@Command([OpenPage]; “MyInvoicesPage”)
Expand Category (my view has three levels of categories as well as response documents, so users need this as there is no standard tool that does this)
@Command([ViewExpandWithChildren])
Expand All
@Command([ViewExpandAll])
Collapse Category
@Command([ViewCollapse])
Collapse All
@Command([OpenView];“MyInvoicesPage”; @Name([Abbreviate]; @UserName));
@Command([ViewCollapseAll]);
@Command([ViewExpand]);
@Command([FileCloseWindow]);
@Command([ToolsRunMacro];“(f9)”)
(this one is from this forum, Sam Chung on 10/12/2005…THANKS!)
The (f9) macro uses this code:
REM {dummy agent used by embedded/single category view};
@Success;
@All
