Hi @ Hima,I am surprised that the application which is working fine suddenly giving this type of error by only upgrading to a newer version. In my case there are hundred’s of application and dun know where common name is being used and where the abbreviated. Is it the only solution???

Hello,
I bet you are trying to send email to a “not exactly” address. With upgrading the lookup of address is often more precise. So please check you address and correct it.

I dont now if my explanation below will help.
I dont know who made it, but once a Notes Administrator had created a new person, who has first, middle and surname.
Then, he deleted, I dont know why too, and created this same new user without first and last names only.
To the user, he gave the first ID file to login. Because there was some troubles from this action, he granted rights to access the new database with that first ID file.
So, the user had a name in ID file and another name in PAB.
Every time an application wants to send a mail to that user, this message appears.
I deleted both IDs, names.nsf entry and database and recreates another.

Hi Dali…
I know that it is very very late response, but for this type of error, the below solution is correct …
The person name that you are fetching from the address book to send the mail; is not an abbreviated one.
Set the name to abbreviated, then the problem will be resolved.
Actually the problem occurs, while trying to fetch the person name from the address book, it is possbile that any of the last name, first name, short name …can be the same for many people.
So if you select the abbreviated person name, it resolves the issue.
