My server is working fine, I can send and receive email no problem except for Hotmail.
I don’t know why but the user never receive an email and I don’t receive a message telling me the message was not send.
Could you please help me with this one ?

If you can send out other external mail, then it might be an issue on the recipient’s side. A few weeks ago, I thought we had a problem sending out mail to yahoo, but turns out that the email was received - it was just in the bulk mail (junk mail) folder. Our domain had gotten onto a blacklist. Don’t know if hotmail has a similar feature…

It could be the recipient’s mail filtering settings. Hotmail offers an ‘exclusive’ mail filtering setting which means that it will not display any messages in the Inbox unless the sending address is in the person’s address list. This would cause the exact behavior you are seeing, no delivery failure message back to you and no message in the Inbox or other folders for them.

I am using Cable/DSL, but when I use my provider email address, I have no problem sending mail to hotmail
As for getting in the Junk Mail folder, I look at it and no my email is not there…
I am using my hotmail address to test it, so I can verify that I don’t receive anything.
I just remark that my email message is stop in the Mail.box pending.

Subject: Re: hotmail and others public mail services is block all emails that come from dial up/ cable/ dsl connection
Subject: Are you using Cable/DSL connect to the internet?
Hotmail (reportedly) will reject connections from many of those IP address ranges.
