Unable to receive emails to users in secondary addressbook

Hi

I have a strange problem. I’m trying to configure a Domino server to receive email to users that are listed in a secondary addressbook. I have configured directory assistance and it’s working because its possible to send Notes mails to the users in the secondary addressbook.

The error I get on the server console is “User xxx not listed in Domino Directory”

I have tried to copy an user document from the secondary addressbook to names and then it works, so it seems that the SMTP task can’t use directory assistance.

The server is version 6.0.3

Is it a bug or is there a solution.

Regards

Jens

Do you have the secondary address configured on only one server? Is the SMTP error occuring on the server with the 2 addressbooks?

Yes. There is only one server.

You did add the ini parameter to have the second address book correct?

Subject: RE: Unable to receive emails to users in secondary addressbook

No, I have not added the secondary addressbook to notes.ini. It shouldn’t be nessesary when I use Directory Assistance. I have tried to make a sh xdir on the console, and it displays all addressbooks.

well the ini parameter will correct your problem, but there is not a lot of information to verify for how it was configured.

Sorry I can not offer help, but I don’t know how to offer help when there is not any information other than the error message.

HTH – Cheers

and put the secondary domain name in the “Alternate Internet domain aliases” field? Since you mentioned SMTP, I’m assuming that the secondary NAB contains person docs with internet addresses in a domain other than your primary internt domain.

Yes. I have created a Global Domain doc and added the new mail domain to Alternate Internet Domain aliases.
