I’m unable to read mail that consists of chinese language.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Just a thought…
Try.
go to User Prefrences → International → Genral tab
and there in Language Settings Import Export characters,
Change to chinese…
See if it helps. and do let us all know the results.

However it still doesn’t work. I have also enabled unicode under basics → additional options.
I have also installed all the east asian files available on windows regional language settings.
