Hi All - I’m trying to install a Notes 7.0.1 clent for Linux on a Red Hat Enterprise 4 Workstation.
When installing the Workplace Managed Client, I continually get the error message “Can not validate Mozilla version”, right afer I accept the license terms.
I’ve search this forum, the Red Hat KB, IBM’s technotes, and it says I need to ensure Mozilla version 1.7.12 is installed. I installed Mozilla 1.7.12, (it’s in /usr/local/mozilla), created a gre.conf file in /etc, and also in /etc/gre.d with the following entries:
[1.7.12]
GRE_PATH=/usr/local/mozilla
But continue to get the same error message in the same place during all attempts at installation.
I HAVE searched the forums, and I have tried to get my brain around this problem. What am I doing wrong?
I’m a relative newby to the Linux world. We’re trying to set this up on a small lab environment to see if Linux is the right way to go. All I really want is to get the Notes client running on Linux so we can test.
