User is not able to edit the document,though he has manager access to the database,His name is present in the author’s field,and there is no code written in the querymode change of the form.

No error message is received…
But the user is able to take the document to edit mode by selecting the document and then using ctrl+E
he is also able to edit the document by selecting the document,right click and then selecting edit document
The document is not going to edit mode only when the document is opened and double clicked and it is also not going to edit mode when the edit button is used from UI document
→ There are Sub-Forms, but even they dont have any Querymodechange events

Is the DB encrypted? I have an ecryped DB that acts similarly. I can open the doc in edit mode from the view, but not from w/ in the doc- haven’t had time to explore it- when I know the work around.
