An incorrect desktop policy setting was sent to all users giving the name of the sametime server. When we tried to correct this by sending out another policy update, with NO sametime server, and pushing all changes out, no change in behavior was made. We eventually use a VB script to change the notes.ini setting to prevent sametime from being active, but it is a cluggy workaround. How can you clear out a sametime server name from a location document after a policy document has set it?

As far as I know, if you used the LocAll option, then it’s used to set and modified fields but you cannot blank them.
You might want to modified in the server document or the person document to see if that helps.
