Unable to archive from folder

I am using Lotus Notes 8.5.1.I have some folders where created in Lotus where I classify and move my emails from Inbox to there. When I select any email from these folders I can not see the Actions > Archive options. But when I select any email in Inbox the Actions > Archive option is there. So, I can archive email from my Inbox but not from my folders. I ever used this procedure until version 8.0.

Any idea?

Subject: Upgrade you folder design

As mentioned by someone earlier in this thread, you need to upgrade you folder designs. To do this, go to “Actions - Folder - Upgrade Folder Design”.

I am having the same problem, i upgrade folder design also but still when i go to actions i don’t get the archive option?? Am i missing a trick??

Subject: Questions?

Are you working in your mail file? The actions are only available from within your mail file. The actions are not available from within an archive database.

Below is what you should see after upgrading and opening a folder. NOTE: After upgrading, it may be necessary to close your mail file and re-open it to see the changes.

I have the same problem with some users. I’ve already made the test provided but without any success…From folders the archive link is not present…

Hi, i also have this problem in my office after we migrate from Domino/Notes 6 to 8.5.1.

I have tried replace/refresh the design on the client sides but it still would not work… Have saw quite a few ppl having this problem online but no solution as yet.

I have the same problem. To archive that kind of documents located into an folder, I go to “All Documents”, and from there I can do Archive. But this solution is not very practical. I don’t understand why this facility is lost into NOTES 8.5.1
