Unable to access lotus note domino server after upgrade version from 6 to 7

help me… below are the scenario:-

Two client from Japan, currently in Malaysia unable to use their vpn to access to their lotus domino email server in Japan. Their couterpart in Japan just recently upgraded their domino from version 6 to 7. these two client in malaysia started to have problem accessing email via vpn only after they upgraded their domino server from 6 to 7. please help what the problem could be.

Can the ping the upgraded server by DNS name? OR by IP address?

Nope they even can’t ping by IP address nor DNS name.
