Unable to accept invites from specific user only

I have one user (office admin) who cannot accept/decline invites from a specific user (the boss) no matter what we try. Different client level, different PC, different user accepting/declining on her behalf. Nothing works.

The behavior: User receives an invite in her In Box and clicks accept/decline and the invite closes like normal, but no acceptance/rejection is sent to the chair. If you do accept/decline with comments you are never given a chance to provide any comments.

Has been happening for about a week or two (at least since noticed) but may go back farther.

Mail 8.5.2 Template with light customizations but nothing that touches invites

Client 8.5.1 no FP of which I am aware

Server 8.5.2 Enterprise

TIA

Subject: A couple questions

When accepting the meeting, does it actually get added to the calendar?

Is the chair on a mobile device, like an iPhone or iPad? If so, take a look at this technote:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21453919

Subject: A couple of responses

The meeting is on the calendar as a tentative/unaccepted item and its status does not change.

Chair is on a Notes client using the calendar to create it.

TIA!

Subject: Another question

Is it one particular meeting, or any meeting received from the chair? I ask because if only a particular meeting is affected it may be a known issue. If that’s the case, you’ll need to open a PMR with IBM to work on it.

Subject: Any meeting from a specific chair

Thanks!

Subject: Strange

I’d try the following:

  • Check the invitee’s local names.nsf and see if there are any entries for the chair. If so, remove them.

  • Try deleting the invitee’s cache.ndk and renaming bookmarks.nsf.

  • If any customizations have been made to the mail template I would put both the chair and the invitee on an out-of-the-box IBM mail template and see if the issue is still reproducible.

  • Delete the invitee’s calendar profile document.

Subject: Resolution?

Have you found a resolution for this problem? I am having the same issue.

Subject: Nope

Julie,

After a series of client/server version upgrades the problem resolved itself so no help available.
