Ultralite on iphone - error: java not enabled

I have been trying for months to get my iphone to be able to use the ultralite mode but every time I get a Sametime page telling me “Error: Java not enabled”.

I’ve tried going directly to my mail database and also to the root URL of the server, and it behaves exactly the same. I also tried using ?OpenDatabase&ui=dwa_ultralite (typed that from memory, it may be slightly wrong) on my mail database. No matter what I always get taken to this sameitme database and told that Java isn’t enabled.

I’m on 8.5 server. My mail template is 8.5. Any ideas why I’m getting this? I had the same problem on my old ipod touch.

Subject: ServerSide JVM

Hi,

maybe the serverside JVM is not activated

Is there a message in the server console when starting HTTP?

Is Servletmanager activated (Serverdoc - Internetprotocol - Webserver Tab - Java Servlet Support

is there a notes.ini entry

HTTPDisableJVM=1

if yes, change to 0

greetings

thomas

Subject: that didn’t show anything

Thanks for the reply. HTTP seems to start ok and the logs show the JVM starting. Nothing bad sounding. The servlet engine is set to run in the server document where you said, and I can see it starting up when I start HTTP. I’ve also checked the ini setting and it’s not there.

So as far as I can tell there’s nothing wrong on the server. Do you know the error message is talking about server java? I was assuming it was meaning client java, as the iphone has none. I was thinking for some reason Domino was serving up a java version of the ui when it should not be for an iphone.
