UK developers please look! £ sterling error checkbox

I firsr posted about this here http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/ShowMyTopicsAllFlatweb/8886eec73ef6139a852572280063287d?OpenDocumentand have got no further forward and would ask a favour of someone else in the UK who might have this working.

Please, if you have a moment could you create a checkbox, put in £10, £20, and £30 as the values of the choices, save and view the form source on the web.

If you don’t get a value=“8jgoj0” but do get value=“£10” etc could they share what their config is because I cannot get this to work at all? Any manipulation of the values is impossible.

I get the following :frowning:

£10

£20

£30

I’ve tried installing a test 7.0.2 server and it’s still exhibiting the error. I’ve tried all manner of different combinations of character sets and nothing makes the slightest bit of difference.

I’ve worked around it using a regular expression but it’s not really suitable, it also stuffs up with Yen, so a character set problem seems likely but I cannot see what else to change.

Many thanks in advance, George.

Solved. I reckon it’s a bug now not anything to do with incorrect character sets.

The workaround is as follows - all you have to do is instead of plugging one value into the choices for the checkbox, be it directly or programmatically, plug in two so one is an alias - i.e. value+“|”+value. Now Domino picks up the alias value and so creates the checkbox correctly.

In the hope that it saves someone some time and head scratching, George.
