uidoc.Close(True) options

I have written some code that copies rows from an excel spreadsheet and then copies them into a lotus memo for emailing. The email automatically sends, which is what i want, but the message still shows up as a new memo and does not close after being sent. I am trying to use the method uidoc.Close(True) but that asks me do I want to save, discard, or cancel. I would like it to just automatically close. How can I do this? Thanks

Daniel - Before you try to close, try:

uidoc.FieldSetText(“SaveOptions”,“1”)

This will set the SaveOptions field to “1” which automatically saves the document. If you dont want to save it then change the code to

uidoc.FieldSetText(“SaveOptions”,“0”)

Thanks mike but I get Notes Error cannot locate field

Subject: RE: uidoc.Close(True) options

Sorry it should be:

Call uidoc.FieldSetText(“SaveOptions”,“1”)

Also put a hidden editable Text field on your form called saveOptions

Thanks I will give it a shot.

What do you mean by put a hidden editable Text field on your form called saveOptions? sorry I am very new.

On the properties box of the field there are several tabs.

The first tab is where you name the field and under that you select which type Ie: Text

next to that you have several options and that is where you can change the type. The default is Text and Editable so you wont have to change that.

On the 6th tab (has a picture of a pull blind) you have several options regarding when to hide the field. Just select Notes R4.6 or later.

Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of Domino design.

I love it!

Well most of the time, anyways

Where on Earth are you? I’m in the VB editor for excel and there are no property boxes just straight code.

I still do not know where you are talking about.
