Typical Issue

Hi,

I have a view where in i have 100 documents as of today. I have a form where in i have a field. In that field i want to populate all the first column values of the View. I have done that using @dbcolumn. The values are coming fine. What i need now is when i see all those values as a Text list, i want the capability to click on any of the values and some action should be done. I dont know how this can be done.

Example: i have the below list in that field.

Rajesh

Prakash

Somesh

When i click on Rajesh one action should be done.

When i click on Prakash some action should be done.

I am not sure if this is doable. Please suggest me a way to do this.

Thanks in Advance.

If the field is a dialog list you can refresh the document on keyword change… On the form you can specify the action…

Other option is to hide the field… and create a link or button which will ask the user to select a value and then your action follows…

You can achieve that with the help of hotspot actions.

Create a row with your expected number of choices columns. As per your posting, “three” columns.

Make the ‘Cell boarder thickness’ in the table property to ‘0’ so that the table row is not visible. Now create computed fields in each of the columns and make sure the each field contains one value from your multivaluedlist field like first value “Rajesh” goes into the first field… and third value “somesh” goes into the third field etc using @Subset.

Create hotspot action for each of three fields. You can call an agent or write script to do necessary action.

Hope this helps.
