Does anyone know why the following senerio is happening?
When entering a specific users in the To field of a email I get another users name.
I type John Doe in the To field of an email and press enter. Joe Tester is entered in the field. If I start typing Doe and press enter then John Doe’s name is populated. If I enter John and press enter I get a prompt asking to pick the correct name.
Why when I type first name and last name and press enter I get another users name?
Thanks!
Subject: Type ahead
look and see if you have addresses in your personal address book that are simular to your type ahead addresses. You may need to modify your person contact info if this is the case or change the lookup settings in your location document.
Subject: Type ahead - More Information
This happens when anyone in the company types John Doe and press enter.
Subject: Type ahead
Check the NAB policy docs and see if location documents are set and if so, how is type ahead and addressing handled.
Also, check $Users view in the NAB for John Doe. That might be the issue.
Subject: Type ahead - some more info
I did check those setting. John Doe and Joe Tester both have person documents in the address book. I read one technote that stated that I might have to make a new replica of the db as views can tend to become corrupt.
Here is some more information:
It is not really the type ahead feature that is the problem. If start to type John Doe and let the type ahead feature resolve it then the correct name comes up. If I press ENTER then the incorrect name comes up.
Also, our environment is clustered. If I go to another server and do the same scenario (pressing ENTER) the correct name comes up. So, it seems like the problem is only on the one server.
