Type ahead and arrow keys aren't working

I have a user which has noted that if he composes a new e-mail message type ahead isn’t working.

If he types in the name “Parker” it will display one person by the name of Parker but he can’t toggle up and down using arrow keys.

He recently had a completely hosed dircat but that was deleted and recreated and his name lookup is now fine but the arrow keys don’t work. Any ideas of how to fix this?

Hi Angie,

This might have happened because he might have added the user “parker” in his local addressbook.

Ask him to open his address book(local names.nsf) go to contacts view and delete the contact entry with the name “parker”.

Well I’ve added Parker to my local address book and I’m still able to toggle with the arrow keys. Any other ideas?

Did anybody ever find a solution to this problem? I have a test server running R6.5.1 and hae the same problem with the arrow key functionality. Works fine in R5, but not at all in R6.

They make you do admin too?:slight_smile:

If he hits enter, it should give him a dialog box of choices.

Hey File Save,Yep, what is it they say a “Jack Of All Trades” but master of none. :slight_smile: 2 1/2 years without a fulltime position has surely taken its toll on me. Although with the job market the way it is I can’t complain.

This particular user wants the ability he used to have. Unfortunately hitting enter isn’t good enough for him. I’ve got to get it working like it used to.

File Save, if you get time can you try to advise me regarding the problem with form that I’m having. I have it posted under the appenddoclink post.
