Trouble with forms using the embedded web browser

I’m running Lotus Notes 8.5 beta 2 and find that interacting with forms using the embedded web browser does not operate as expected. In most browsers I can enter something into a form field and hit ENTER to submit, but this doesn’t work using the embedded web browser in the Notes client.

Example: when I go to http://www.google.com and type query terms into the search box and hit ENTER, nothing happens. I need to click on the “Google Search” button to submit the query.

Is there something I’m missing? Any suggested fixes or work-arounds? Some web forms I work with don’t have any submit button - they expect users to hit ENTER to submit form data.

Subject: Still doesn’t work - web forms in embedded browser

We run 8.5 clients and server and users get the same behaviour - they are not able to press the Return key when they browse within Notes (regardless of browser preference)
