On the IPhone, both the folder name and the folder alias are displayed separated by a pipe character - exactly as you would find in the $Name or $Title field of the folder design element.
If you want to reproduce this, create a new folder in designer and give it an alias as well as a name. It may take a little while (couple refreshes?) but eventually the IPhone will show an entry in the folder list using the format |.
Could someone please verify this?
I am convinced it’s a bug in how Traveller presents the folder names to the IPhone.
This is causing problems with a product design which needs an alias for the folder since the folder name gets translated into multiple languages.
I can see how this issue could get past QA for Traveller since many notes mail files don’t have aliases for any visible folders.
