Traveler stops syncing with handheld after a few hours

Running Lotus Traveler on a Windows 2008 server with domino 8.5.2 (fp3) and Traveler 8.5.2.4 Build 201110051645

The handheld device works fine for about 12 hours or so, then stops getting new documents, but the handheld still registers as connected.

once it stops sending updates, i am unable to stop or restart the traveler service. i have to restart the entire domino server to restart traveler. Not exactly practical. any thoughts from you great minds out there, i’m stumped.

Subject: found the cause…

Well i found to cause of the problem… the solution still evades me, but that’s another story.

Ends up there is no issue with traveller, the issue with the windows server hosting it. There is an issue with the NTP service on the server causeing the time to change for a few moments in the middle of the night breaking the sync.
