I am installing Traveler and have a question about allowing incoming connections from the internet. What are Traveler admins setting up to allow secure access? Our you using reverse proxy (what proxy is suggested if so), just opening port 443 through firewall (only have iphones), or something else? Currently my Traveler server is behind my firewall, and want to figure a way to open it to the outside. Thanks.
Subject: Sync Port … sorry, foget it: not needed for iPhones afaik
EDIT: After reading your post again this is now obsolete I think. That port is only used for Nokia and WinMobile if I remember correctly.
https for iPhone should be sufficient I think.
Don’t forget the sync port- wich schould be: 8642
In later releases they plan to do all via http(s) but for now you need to open the FW for that one to.
