I performed an upgrade from Traveler version 8.012 (which worked great) to 8.5 (With all the fixups according to: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529 )I keep getting “Parsing error at line 10 Position 29”.
That position at the WM’s configuration file has the Traveler server name at the format “cn=Server/o=Org”.
Our org name is in Hebrew letters and that’s exactly position 29 (after the “/o=”).
It doesn’t seem to bother version 8.012 which worked great or any other Domino product that we used since version 4.
Now i have two options:
-
Wait for a fix.
-
Install the Traveler server in a new Org. the problem is that i don’t know what I’m going to loose from that.
I’ll appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.
BTW, Users are still working with 8.012 but I can’t register new devices.
Subject: Traveler parsing error
Will send this to development to review. In meanwhile should be able to keep using the 8012 client with the 8.5 server. You can install the 8012 server on a test system (you will get a bunch of errors, but will instal) and then copy the 8012 clients to a folder under \html\domino and then put a simple html page to link to the 8012 clients. Not the best solutions, but will allow you to keep working until resolved.
We may need to see the xml file that is sent to the device. Is it possible for you to open Problem Report? Thanks.

Also, we already tried to copy the 8.012 files to the 8.5 Traveler server. After doing hard reset to the mobile and installing version 8.012 we keep getting the same “Parsing Error”. So we are unable to register new devices. My concern is that is might be a problem of Domino server 8.5 and not the Travler (because version 8.012 ran great on Domino 8). Also, downgrading to Travler 8.012 (still on Domino 8.5) also pops the “Parsing Error”.
The one only configuration that works is Traveler 8.012 on Domino 8.
