Now that windows mobile 7 has been officially announced and out soon. Does anyone know if WinMo 7 will run on Traveler 8.5.2? Or will there be a patch needed? Or will it run at all. Thanks
Subject: RE: Traveler on WinMo 7
The existing Traveler Windows Mobile clients will not run on Windows Phone 7. It is a new OS with an all new structure. There will not be a “patch” for it as it would require all new client code. Whether or not there is a new client that supports Windows Phone 7 is TBD.

I thought Notes supported Activsync. Isn’t that all you need? The iphone connects that way.
Has anyone tried this on a WP7 device yet?
Subject: RE: Traveler
Traveler only supports ActiveSync with the Apple devices. It is not a general support of all ActiveSync devices. We have been very careful to make that clear from beginning.
It has been tried. The first problem is that the device requires a domain (instead of Apple and others where it is optional). If you can somehow get past the HTTP authentication problem that that creates, there are some things that will work (if it uses the AS commands that Apple uses) and some things that will not.
